May 23rd (Wed), the city of Kitakyushu began the test incineration of radioactive rubble. Two incineration sites are Hiagari Plant/48 tons and Shinmoji Plant/32 tons between May 23rd and 24th. The Hiagari plant is next to the Kitakyushu central wholesale market. According to the Nishinihon Newspaper, the City detected 0.07 ~ 0.6uSv/h on May 23rd test at the Hiagari Plant site, the amount of the incineration filter was not announced. The mayor, Kenji KITAHASHI will have a town hall meeting once he has a result of this test incineration.
The geiger counter detection in Brooklyn, New York today, is 0.03uSv/h.
